French Chic...

French chic on a Sunday afternoon : Divonne-les-Bains, FR

Sunday afternoons in Divonne-les-Bains are for walking around the lake. Apparently, this is a French custom: you go to church or the market in the morning, have lunch with your family or friends in the afternoon, then go walking in the late afternoon. Doesn't matter what you're wearing either, you go walking. We saw people in everything from athletic gear to Sunday finery. This couple constituted the latter. What struck me were their shoes.

I would think those heels would hurt the feet after walking for a while. But what do I know. I didn't know bowling shoes were back in vogue.

You'd never see those shoes walking around Lake Merritt. Good capture.

Love this shot! You are one gutsy woman taking this shot while they glared at you wondering what you were up to!
