La Fontaine Bartholdi : Lyon, FR
This past weekend found us in Lyon, France. In the center of town is the Hotel de Ville (City Hall) and a fountain by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi--the same man who created the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor and the Bartholdi Fountain in Washington, D.C. This fountain is loaded with symbolism. The woman represents France, while the four horses in the fountain are France's four main rivers: the Seine, the Loire, the Rhône, and the Garonne. Here are a few more pictures.

That is a powerful image.
Looks like someone has been doing her research! Interesting...
James: Thanks!
Maya: I'm trying. I have resorted to Wikipedia as a source. Sad day, but true.
