On the Road to the Bus : Collex, CH

I've been taking the bus to work lately. My preference is the Z-bus, because it's quieter, less crowded, and I don't have to walk along busy streets to get to it. This was the view the other morning in Collex on my way to a quiet little stop near the center of the village. I love the flowers on the lamp posts and this is the first time I've seen the gate to the chateau and winery open. It was a nice, early morning scene.

Commute

Commute : Rue de Vireloup : Collex, CH

Yesterday was Blue Monday. According to scholar Cliff Arnell, this is the date designated as the most depressing day of the year. It involves a complex mathematical equation. You can read about it here. Of course, I wasn't aware of this when I got in the car and started off on my commute Monday morning. Either the traffic was really bad because of Blue Monday, or it can be blamed entirely on the World Health Organization convening its annual Executive Board meeting. Either of those would cause a back up from Geneva, across the border into Ferney...
