Sunday Walk in Prague, Part I

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Santi... : Prague, CZ

On Sunday afternoon, I was feeling a little restless, so I left the apartment with camera in hand and went for a little walk. My intention was to walk across the Charles Bridge, but the crowds were so thick, I decided to walk along the riverfront instead. I turned down a quiet little street and encountered many hidden treasures and lots of interesting people.

Roll, Roll, Roll...

Roll, roll, roll... : Collex, CH

Ever seen the Mel Brook's classic "Young Frankenstein"? The caption for this photo comes from that movie. The scene features a young, lovely Terry Garr inviting Gene Wilder to roll in the hay.

Inga: Hallo. Vould you like to roll in ze hay?
Dr. Frankenstein: [stutters]
Inga: It's fun.
[She begins to roll in the hay]
Inga: Roll, roll, roll in ze hay.

Great film!

Bucolic...

On the Road to the Bus : Collex, CH

I've been taking the bus to work lately. My preference is the Z-bus, because it's quieter, less crowded, and I don't have to walk along busy streets to get to it. This was the view the other morning in Collex on my way to a quiet little stop near the center of the village. I love the flowers on the lamp posts and this is the first time I've seen the gate to the chateau and winery open. It was a nice, early morning scene.

Big Dog, Little Dog

Heel : Versoix, CH

This morning, friends Erik and Christy called to see if we wanted to take Charlie and go for a walk in the Versoix Forest with them and their dog, Caffrey. We jumped at the chance, because Charlie needs to be socialized and comfortable spending time with other dogs (another issue with rescue dogs). He did really well and we all had a blast. I didn't have my big camera with me, but I did have my Apple iPod Touch, so I snapped a few photos. (This week, I'm hoping to get out with the camera and do some real photography again, because there's more to life than just Charlie! Of course, it would help if the weather was more cooperative...)
