Photo of the Year:

This was a fun photography year. I acquired new equipment--a Nikon D5000--and I tried to shoot with it as often as possible. Every week for the last year, I've tried to identify one extraordinary photo that I took and posted. The result is 52 Photos of the Week. The above photo is what I consider my best picture of 2010. In looking back through the entire year, I think I may not have chosen my best photos as Photos of the Week and probably should have chosen others. Thankfully, there's Picasa Web Albums, so you can see my "hindsight is 20/20" choices for 2010 at the second link below.
In 2011, I'm going to be taking a photography course in Nyon, Switzerland, and I'm hoping to see marked improvement in a) my equipment knowledge and b) my photo output. I'm also going to make more of an effort to actually photograph Ferney-Voltaire, France. As a participant in City Daily Photo Blogs, I need to be better about actually featuring the town I'm representing in CDP.
