Princess Party

Princess Cake : Seebenstein, AT

While we were staying with Christine and Hellmut, two of their granddaughters celebrated their birthdays. Their daughter, Sonja, is a wonderful cake decorator and made a cake for her daughter (the other grandchild was nearly 18 and they had a family get-together the next night at daughter Sabina's. I took a few pictures of the party and enjoyed meeting and getting reacquainted with this wonderful family!

All of the kids had a blast and even the adults got in on the fun. Below, son-in-law Jose competes in the sack race with his cousin. Jose lost. It wasn't even close. :-D

Princess Party

My partner is starting up a photography business and I'm helping out. One of her (our) first gigs was a Princess Party being hosted by a friend of ours. I don't post photos of friends' kids without permission, so you'll have to trust them that were lots of princesses and princes. Instead, here's a lovely photo of the Princess cupcakes!

Bon Anniversaire

Elsie, an Aussie Jack Russell, beseechingly seeks some birthday cake : Ferney-Voltaire, FR

Yesterday was my boss's 50th 30th birthday. A few of us threw a party for her at the home of mutual friends and a grand time was had by all! I took a few pictures, but this was my favorite. This is Elsie, an elderly Jack Russell who still knows how to turn a puppy trick or two. Seriously, though, this was the only picture I took that didn't feature people, so I thought I'd give Elsie 15 minutes of fame. (The people pictures are on Facebook.) :-)

Bounteous Birthday : Ferney-Voltaire, FR

Friday was my birthday and the majority of the weekend was spent celebrating with friends. The photo above features cards and gifts, including a copy of Nabakov's Laura, flowers, a fondue pot, and a multi-purpose baking dish from South America. On Friday, we dined on Wiener schnitzel and Saturday featured a feast of Indian food and wild strawberries. Thanks everyone for making my birthday so special!
